WEBSTER, S.D. (KSDN-AM) – Trooper Brandon Miller was recently named the South Dakota Highway Patrol Trooper of the Year.

Miller, who is based out of Webster, said he considers the award a real honor.

Miller always dreamed of being a member of the law enforcement, but decided to serve his country first.

While being a member of the highway patrol can be challenging, Miller said the job offers variety and that people in South Dakota respect law enforcement.

Miller recently added a new member to his car, a dog named Murph.
