Traffic stop leads to arrest of Watertown woman on drug charges

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown police say a traffic stop led to the arrest of a Watertown woman on drug charges.
Just before 11 o’clock Wednesday night, police stopped a vehicle in the 400-block of 9th Avenue Southeast. During the stop, a vehicle search uncovered methamphetamine and evidence of drug distribution.
A passenger in the vehicle, 35 year-old Becky Cooper, was arrested and charged with Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession or Use of Drug Paraphernalia.
