AURORA, S.D.–A motor vehicle accident involving a deer in Brookings County has left a 35 year-old man dead.

It happened Friday night on Highway 324, three miles east of Aurora.

A car driven by a 17 year-old boy was westbound when it struck a deer.

The animal was hurled into the air, and crashed into the windshield of an oncoming pickup, causing the truck to go into the ditch.
