WASHINGTON, D.C.–Negotiations continue in Congress on a two trillion-dollar economic rescue plan. Debate got heated at times Monday as Democrats blocked procedural votes.

South Dakota Republican Senator John Thune defended the business bailout plan….

Thune says the bill that Democrats rejected came from a bi-partisan agreement….

Thune told Senators they are wasting time…..

Both sides met late last night and are predicting an agreement sometime today (Tuesday).
