WATERTOWN, S.D.–The Watertown City Council approved three Park and Recreation improvement projects at their meeting Monday night.
City Manager Amanda Mack told the council what those projects are….
The road improvements at Mount Hope came in $36,000 over budget, and the bike trail work around the Olive Place house was $21,000 over budget.
Public Works Director Heath VonEye speculated on why the numbers came in a little high…
Funding for the bike trail improvements around Lake Kampeska will be covered, in part, by a state grant, leaving the net cost to the city for that project at just under $100,000.
In total, all three projects will cost just over $545,000.
