Three former Twins inducted into MLB HOF

(GoWatertown.net) — Three former Minnesota Twins were inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday. David Ortiz, Tony Oliva, and Jim Katt.

Katt played 25 MLB seasons and has 283 career wins, 16 gold gloves, and was with the Twins from 1961 – 1973. Katt win a world series with St. Louis in 1982.

Oliva played with Minnesota from 1962 – 1976 where he won 3 batting titles, led the league in hits five times and led the league in doubles four times.

Ortiz played a total of 20 MLB seasons including 14 with Boston where he was a 10-time all-star, seven-time silver slugger, and won three world series. Ortiz was with the Twins from 1997 – 2002.
