Three eleven man classes will crown their champions today

VERMILLION, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Three eleven-man championship games will be played today at the DakotaDome in Vermillion.

The 11B title game will see the one-seed and defending champion Winner (11-0) take on the seven-seed Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan (8-3).  This is a rematch of the 2020 game in which the Warriors claimed their third state football title in the past six years by escaping with an 18-14 win.  These two teams met earlier this year on August 27th with the Warriors blanking the Seahawks 44-0.  10 a.m. kickoff.

The 11AA game will see Pierre take on Tea Area.  The Governors come in 9-2  are trying to make it a five-peat this season.  Tea is a perfect 11-0 and will try to make it two in a row after claiming the 11A title last year and moving up into Class 11AA this season.  7:30 p.m. kick.
