WATERTOWN, S.D.–A teenage girl sustained serious injuries in a two vehicle crash in Watertown over the weekend.

It happened Saturday morning near the intersection of Highways 81 and 212.

A 14 year-old girl driving a car collided with a pickup as the girl was turning onto westbound Highway 212 from a parking lot.

The girl became trapped in the car, and was freed by Watertown Fire Rescue. She was taken to Prairie Lakes Hospital. Her name was not released.

The driver of the pickup was 52 year-old Doreen Haselius of Watertown. She had an oustanding warrant for her arrest and was taken into custody at the scene.

Police Sergeant Matt Hegg says neither driver involved in the crash had a valid driver’s license. Both were cited for that offense.
