RAPID CITY, S.D.–Taffy Howard, a state lawmaker from Rapid City, has set her sights on Washington D.C., announcing a run against fellow Republican Dusty Johnson for South Dakota’s only U.S. House seat.

Howard said South Dakotans have taken issue with the state’s D.C. Delegation

Howard said she’d take a staunch, conservative platform to the Capitol.

Howard, who has previously said she supported a full audit of the 2020 Presidential Election, said restoring faith in American elections is crucial.

Howard said she isn’t concerned with splitting the vote, and that she looks forward to a one-on-one race against Johnson.
