Certificates will be mailed to the winner’s school. Area Sports Bennett Schwenn – Milbank Track and Field Schwenn would take first place in the triple jump with a 13.88-meter leap at the Dakota Relays April 30-May 1st Emily Breske – Dakota Hills Track and Field Breske placed first in the girl’s high jump with a vault of 1.62 meters at the Dakota Relays April 30-May 1st. Kaylee Johnson – Estelline/Hendricks Golf Johnson took the individual title with a score of 45 at the Castlewood Invite April 26th Watertown Sports Rachel Scheidt – Watertown Figure Skating Club Rachel passed her US Figure Skate test in Moves in the Field Novice, Solo Freedance – Junior, and Solo Freedance – Senior. Scheidt is now the only USFS Gold Medalist in Watertown. Scheidt also made history with WFSC as the first gold medalist. Cooper Mack – Watertown Arrow Track and Field Mack would place first in the shot put with a throw of 19.74 meters and the discus throw with a 52.52-meter toss at the Dakota Relays April 30-May 1st Riley Zebroski – Watertown Arrow Golf Led the Arrows shooting an 89 good for an 11th place finish at the Hub City Invitational April 27th Due to COVID-19 restrictions, voting will ONLY be conducted online. Winners and nominees announced at 5:05 p.m. Monday’s on New Country KS93. The winning athletes will receive a certificate for five small combo meals good at the Watertown location of Taco John’s.
