WATERTOWN, S.D.–The Watertown Airport Board met over the noon hour Monday.

Airport Manager Todd Syhre told the board that through September, there were 11,961 passenger boardings at Watertown Regional Airport, including more than 2,100 in September.

He updated the board on the construction progress of the new airport terminal, which he says is, “taking shape,” and should be fully enclosed by late this month or early November…

He also took time to compliment Watertown’s Essential Air Service provider, Key Lime Air, doing business as Denver Air Connection. Syhre says they’ve delivered on promises made…

Syhre says Denver Air Connection is doing all the right things…

Well, actually one complaint. Syhre says if you fly Denver Air to Chicago or Denver, and a connecting flight on United Airlines beyond those two cities is cancelled, the notification process could be better…

Denver Air Connection began serving Watertown on July 1st.
