Swanson takes reins of Watertown Girls Soccer

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Watertown Arrow Athletic Director Craig Boyens has announced the hiring of Aaron Swanson for the position of Head Girls Soccer Coach.  The hiring is pending board approval.

Swanson was an All-State soccer player at St. Croix Lutheran Academy in West St. Paul, Minnesota.  He also played club ball with the Woodbury Soccer Academy. Swanson then went on to play soccer collegetly for three seasons at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota, and one season at St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota. He was honored in two of those years as an All-Conference soccer player. Swanson was most recently was a Graduate Assistant Soccer Coach at Martin Luther College prior to moving to Watertown.

“Aaron is extremely knowledgeable about the game of soccer and brings an abundance of experience that he can help pass on to our girls”, said Boyens.  “He is a young coach who is excited to meet the team and to get started with summer workouts”.

Swanson replaces Casey Feininger who stepped down from the position in April.
