Sunday update: Codington County coronavirus cases double; Clark, Roberts counties report first cases

PIERRE, S.D.—COVID-19 cases have taken their biggest one-day jump yet in South Dakota.

The State Health Department reports 90 cases statewide Sunday. That’s an increase of 22 cases since Saturday. Twenty nine people stricken with the virus have recovered. 

Codington County saw its case count double to four. Additionally, Clark and Roberts Counties are now reporting their first cases.

Minnehaha County saw its total increase to 25 cases. Beadle is next highest at 20 cases.

Twenty eight counties in South Dakota are now reporting at least one case of the novel coronavirus. The positive cases are split evenly among males and females–45 each.
