SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (News Release) – Commissioner Tom Douple announced Thursday that The Summit League Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships will remain in Sioux Falls at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center through 2025 after an extension was signed with the venue.
The current deal between The League and the venue runs through the 2022 Basketball Championships, which are slated to be competed March 5-8. This latest agreement keeps the tournaments there for three more years.
The 2022 Summit League Basketball Championships will mark the ninth time the men’s and women’s tournaments will be held at the PREMIER Center and 14th-consecutive time the trophies have been handed out in Sioux Falls.
“The 14 combined men’s and women’s games return to the PREMIER Center following a one-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The 2021 Basketball Championships were held without fans at the Sanford Pentagon.
All-session tickets for the 2022 Basketball Championships go on sale Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. CT. Tickets will be available for purchase at the KELOLAND Box Office at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, www.ticketmaster.com, and www.thesummitleague.org/tickets.
