Student pilot injured in North Dakota plane crash

MINOT, N.D.– The pilot of a small plane was injured when the aircraft crashed at take-off at Minot International Airport Sunday afternoon.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the 24-year-old male student pilot was transported to Trinity Hospital with minor injuries.

The crash happened shortly before 2:30 p.m. The 2007 Cessna 172N single-engine aircraft sustained major damage.

The FAA is investigating the cause.
