WATERTOWN, S.D.–Severe weather developed across central and eastern South Dakota last night.

Forecaster Mike Connolly says the storms included some reports of large hail….

After several days of strong winds and temperatures in the 90’s, Connolly says a lot of areas got some much-needed rain…

Watertown received 1.42 inches of rain, although some gauges close to the city showed more than two inches.
