South Dakota Highway Patrol cites drivers doing triple-digit speeds

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Some drivers were in a big hurry in eastern South Dakota over the weekend.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol posted on social media Saturday that in a 30 minute span, a
Watertown trooper stopped three vehicles on Interstate 29 that were doing in excess of 100 miles per hour.

Specifically, the three speeds were clocked at 111, 113 and 149 miles per hour.

The driver of a Camaro clocked doing 149 was arrested for Reckless Driving.
