South Dakota heads toward banning university faculty union (Audio)

PIERRE, S.D.–A bill that would ban collective bargaining by employees of the Board of Regents has passed the South Dakota House and will now move to the Senate.

Senate Majority Leader Kris Langer of Dell Rapids (pictured) says a lot of it has to do with credentials of university faculty……

Langer says it allows the universities to hire more efficiently….

Langer says the bill doesn’t impact the professional progression of faculty…..

The bill hasn’t been assigned to a committee yet.
