PIERRE, S.D.–South Dakota has a new millionaire.
Someone who purchased a ticket for last (Tuesday) night’s Mega Millions drawing matched 5 of 5 numbers, and was just the Mega Ball away from winning the jackpot.
The one million dollar winning ticket was sold at Lewis Drug on East 26th Street in Sioux Falls.
The South Dakota Lottery recommends the winner sign the back of his or her ticket immediately. The prize may be claimed at any South Dakota Lottery validation center.
While South Dakota was home to a $1 million winner, the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots continue to climb.
Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot is currently $725 million, and Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot is currently $560 million.
