South Dakota gasoline prices down more than a dollar a gallon from a year ago

WATERTOWN, S.D.—Gas prices in South Dakota are more than a dollar a gallon cheaper than a year ago at this time.
The website sdgasprices.com reports the statewide average is $1.57 a gallon. A year ago, it was $2.77 a gallon.
Most Watertown stations are selling a gallon of regular unleaded for $1.56, but that’s considerably higher than some of their neighbors.
The website shows a station in Henry is priced at $1.34 a gallon. Summit is $1.39 a gallon, and a station in Sisseton is selling it for $1.49.
Oil prices sank another 30-percent on Monday, and a barrel of oil is trading at barely above $10 today.
Oil giant BP reported a 66-percent drop in first quarter profits today due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
