WATERTOWN, S.D.–It’s going to be a scorcher across South Dakota today.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has the state under a Heat Advisory as temperatures approach 100 degrees in parts of the state.

Watertown’s record high for this date should be safe however. That was 109 degrees set in 1940.
