Softball takes fifth at ESD Tournament

YANKTON, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Watertown Arrow softball would go 1-2 and take fifth place at the ESD tournament Saturday at Yankton.

Game one would go the way of Yankton by a final of 14-7. Adysen Huyvaert would go two for three at the plate and collect three RBI’s.  Hannah Leverson would go three for three with one RBI.  Jade Lund would take the loss on the hill, issuing three walks.  The two teams would put together 28 hits in the game.

Game two of the tournament would favor Brandon Valley, 7-2.  Lilly Pressler would go four for four at the plate with one RBI.  Jada Brown would take the loss on the mound throwing three strikeouts while issuing one walk.  The two teams would put together 15 hits in the game.

Game three would go to Watertown as they would down Mitchell 8-4 to take fifth place at the ESD Tournament.  Brooklyn Gronau earned the win on the hill throwing two strikeouts and issuing one walk.  Lily Pressler, Maci Lundgaard, Avery Palmquist, and Adysen Huyvaert would each have a multiple-hit game.

Watertown Arrow softball comes home to face Sioux Falls O’Gorman Tuesday, September 22nd.
