SOFTBALL: Gronau walk off double propels Arrows to game one victory

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) —

Brooklyn Gruno’s walk-off double in game one would send Watertown past Sioux Falls Washington 6-5 in high school softball Tuesday night.

Gruno’s walk-off was set up by a Kinsley VanGilder RBI single that would tie the game at five:

Watertown would knock down five hits in the game. Jada Brown earned the W on the hill, fanning five.

Game two was a 7-3 purple and gold win over the Warriors. VanGilder would go two for four at the place, Allison Stark two for three. Brown earned another win in the circle striking out two.

Watertown Arrow Softball (13-14) travels to number three Brookings on Thursday, September 23rd.
