SOFTBALL: Arrows wrap regular season with losses to Patriots

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Sioux Falls Lincoln got the better of Watertown in a doubleheader Tuesday night at Koch Complex.

Game one would go to the Patriots 15-0. Jada Brown took the L in the circle allowing nine runs, Kinsley VanGilder finished the night allowing six runs and fanning one. Brooklyn Gronau and Jade Lund accounted for both of the Watertown hits.

Game two would see Lincoln escape with a 2-1 W. Gronau took the loss in the circle. Lund would go two for three at the plate with a double, Lily Pressler would also have a double in the game.

Watertown finishes their year with a record of 13-17-1 and awaits the 2021 Class A Softball Tournament where they will face off against Sioux Falls Roosevelt in the opening round on Friday at 11 a.m. at Sherman Park. The tournament is double elimination. The winner moves on to play Rapid City Stevens at 11 a.m., loser plays at 5 p.m.
