WATERTOWN, S.D.—Its been a quiet few weeks for weather forecasters in the upper Midwest.

No snow events recently, but plenty of melting taking place.

That could change later this week as a weather system moves in….

National Weather Service forecaster Dan Mohr says the heavier snow will track south of I-90..…

The precipitation will move in tomorrow (Wednesday)….

Mohr says there’s the potential of a Winter Weather Advisory being issued for northeast South Dakota as forecasters get a better handle on the track of the low pressure system.
