Slippery conditions blamed for deadly crash on Interstate 94
November 21, 2024
CASSELTON, N.D.–Snow covered highways caused one deadly crash Wednesday.
A 75-year-old man was killed and a 72-year-old woman was injured when their SUV slammed into the trailer of a jackknifed semi on Interstate 94 west of Fargo.
The Highway Patrol says the semi was eastbound when the driver braked after seeing two other semis jackknifed in the median. The driver lost control and his semi also jackknifed with the truck coming to a stop in the median and the trailer blocking both lanes of the Interstate.
The SUV hit the trailer and got wedged underneath.
The man driving the SUV died at the scene.
