SIOUX FALLS, S.D.–Not only is food costing more, some people can’t get to a grocery store.

Some older Sioux Falls neighborhood grocery stores have closed, creating what’s called food deserts.

The Sioux Falls City health department and Sioux Falls Thrive are teaming up to develop what’s being called the “Eat Well Mobile Market.”

Michelle Erpenbach, the President of Sioux Falls Thrive, says it’s an effort to help families find good nutritional food in neighborhoods that don’t have a grocery store…

Next week, the City Council is expected to approve a $250-thousand grant to get the project off the ground.
