Sioux Falls man sentenced for drug overdose death

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.–A Sioux Falls man is going to prison after selling fentanyl leading to the death of a young woman.
South Dakota U.S. Attorney Alison Ramsdell says 25 year-old Armando Cheshier was sentenced to 21 years behind bars for the 2021 death of 19-year-old Kaylee Teppo.
Cheshier was convicted for distribution of a controlled substance resulting in death in 2022.
Teppo overdosed after being given both fentanyl and Xanax.
