GRAND FORKS, N.D.–Some parts of south central and southeast North Dakota, and western Minnesota, were affected by severe weather last night.

The National Weather Service says winds of over 60 miles an hour were reported in southern Barnes, northern Ransom and southern Cass Counties in North Dakota, as well as southern Clay County in Minnesota.

Dan Riddle is with the National Weather Service in Grand Forks. He says south of Jamestown, large hail was reported, especially around places like Napoleon.

There is a severe weather threat again this afternoon – but Riddle says the affected area will be in western and central North Dakota, and especially in the northwest.
