FRISCO, Tx.–Top-seeded South Dakota State (14-0), which has won 28-straight games, faces second-seeded Montana in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) title game Sunday in Frisco, Texas.
“It feels amazing. There’s no place I’d rather be right now,” SDSU quaterback Mark Gronowski said. “We’re going to Frisco and we’re going to have fun. One more time with the seniors and just enjoy the last few moments we have and just have fun out there and go dominate in Frisco.”
The Montana Grizzles advanced to the title game with a 31-29 overtime win at home over North Dakota State on December 16th. The Jackrabbits advanced with a 59-0 blowout win over Albany.
Montana enters the game with a 13-1 record, and the winners of the Big Sky Conference title.
The Jackrabbits won the Misssouri Valley Football Conference for a second straight year under first year head coach Jimmy Rogers.
Sunday’s game kicks off at 1 p.m. at Toyota Stadium, and can be heard on 950 AM KWAT.
