SDHSAA COVID-19 task force to meet again today

PIERRE, S.D. (KOKK-AM) — The South Dakota High School Activities Association task force for fall sports and activities will meet for a second time on Zoom Thursday afternoon. The group is composed of high school administrators, Activities Association board members and staff, plus medical and state officials.

Huron High Activities Director Terry Rotert is a member of the task force and said last week’s initial meeting lasted two and half hours as medical professionals and representatives from the state gave reports. Rotert says the task force is gathering all available information that changes often:

A meeting is scheduled for Thursday afternoon and Rotert expects weekly meetings in order to develop safety guidelines and policies for this fall.
