SDHP: Motorcyclist killed in Lake County crash

MADISON, S.D.–The Fourth of July holiday weekend will not go down as a fatality-free one in South Dakota.
The Highway Patrol says a 44 year-old man on a motorcycle was killed Saturday morning in Lake County.
It happened at a Highway 19 intersection, seven miles southeast of Madison. That’s where the motorcycle rear ended a car that was making a turn.
The motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead. The 71 year-old woman driving the car sustained minor injuries.
Names of those involved have not been released yet.
