#3 Dakota Valley def. #6 Hamlin, 29-27, 25-21, 25-15
Number six Hamlin put up a fight but was swept in the opening round of the 2021 Class A Volleyball Tournament by number three Dakota Valley, 3-0. Set scores 29-27, 25-21, 25-15. New Country KS93 and Taco John’s Athlete of the Week nominee Ally Abraham led the way with 12 kills, four digs and three blocks. Kami Wadsworth tallied seven kills and nine digs, Graceln Leiseth five kills. On the defensive side of the ball. Alyssa West had 14 digs, Ellyana Prouty and Grace Everson each with eleven.

Number six Faulkton upset number three Arlington in the opening round of the Class B Volleyball Tournament 3-1. Set scores of 25-22, 28-26, 22-25, 25-17. New Country KS93 and Taco John’s Athlete of the Week nominee Hadley Carlson racked up 26 kills and 31 digs, Erin Haufschild had seven kills, Morgan Larsen with five, and Harley Johnson with three. On the defensive side of the ball, Natalie Burns had 16 digs and Grace Parry with 12.
