WATERTOWN, S.D.–State Senator Lee Schoenbeck of Watertown, who presided over this week’s impeachment trial of now former Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg, says after reviewing all the evidence, he feels Ravnsborg was, “grossly undercharged” for killing pedestrian Joe Boever near Highmore in 2020.
Schoenbeck was a guest on KWAT’s “What’s Up” program Thursday morning…
The Senate impeached Ravnsborg, which means his time as Attorney General is over. He’s also banned from ever again running for public office in South Dakota.
Schoenbeck is happy that this dark time in the state’s history is finally over…
Schoenbeck says he expects Governor Noem will appoint someone to replace Ravnsborg, but he says he has no inside knowledge of who it will be, or when that will happen.
