WASHINGTON D.C. – South Dakota U.S. Senator Mike Rounds (pictured) won’t be going to Russia anytime soon.

He is among a list of Americans on whom Russia has imposed personal sanctions, in response to U.S. sanctions against Russians stemming from the conflict in Ukraine.

North Dakota U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer is also on the list along with actors Sean Penn and Ben Stiller.

On Monday, Russia’s foreign ministry announced a list of 25 Americans, “high-ranking officials, representatives of the business and expert communities, as well as cultural figures” — who have been permanently barred from entering Russia. The list comes in response to the still-escalating international tensions brought on by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
