Roosevelt & Sioux Falls Christian take the title at Boys State Golf

YANKTON, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Watertown Arrows tied for seventh place at the Boys Class AA State Golf Meet at Hillcrest Golf & Country Club in Yankton.

The Arrows as a team would card a 676.  Sioux Falls Roosevelt would win the title with a 625.

Individually for the Arrows, Gavin Hibbert would lead all Watertown golfers with a two day total of 159, good for a tie in twelfth place. Jake Olson shot a 167, Cayden Paulsen, 175, Drew Norberg, 175, Sam Mahowald, 180 and Jaxon Engstrom, 189.  Sioux Falls Roosevelt’s Jack Lundin won the individual title with a 150.

In the Boys A at Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion, Sioux Falls Christian would take the title as a team with a two day total of 330, Sioux Valley eighth with a 384, Sisseton tenth with a 374 and Redfield twelfth with a 407.

Individual local leaders include Nate Buisker of Sioux Valley who tied for fourth with a two day total of 164, Sisseton’s Blake Neilsen tied for 21st with a 173 and Isaac Suchor of Redfield carded a 180.
