Roehrich and Hansen medal at Region 1B Meet

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Region 1B Golf Meet was held Monday at Cattail Crossing.
The Castlewood girls claimed the team title with a 301, followed by Clark/Willow Lake with a 310, Deuel finished third with a 315, Webster 4th at 325, and Britton/Hecla 5th with a score of 367.
Clark/Willow Lake’s Brynn Roehrich was the girls’ medalist with an 86. Other top-five finishes include Darby Koenecke of Deuel with a 91, Maddie Horn of Castlewood with a 95, her teammate Olivia Karst in fourth with a 102, and Webster’s Hayler Isler coming in fifth also with a 102.
Hamlin was the top boys’ team at the Region 1B meet with a score of 257, GPL finished second 266, Doland third 269, Webster 4th 271, and Castlewood fifth 272.
Sam Hansen of Great Plains Lutheran was the individual medalist with a 75. Other top-five finishes include Carson Pedersen of Hamlin in second 80, Logan Vavruska of Florence/Henry in third 81, Jacob Pereboom of Webster in fourth with an 87, and Hamlin’s Ryker Warrington in fifth also with an 87.
