WATERTOWN, S.D.—As the multi-million dollar remodeling of the historic Goss Opera House in downtown Watertown continues, a quarter-million dollar naming rights deal has been announced….

Goss Executive Director Missy Sinner tells KWAT News says that portion of the building is getting a full makeover, including a new sound system…

And the restoration project wouldn’t be complete without new seating and a new floor….

Sinner says the first show in the remodeled theater will be announced January 1st.

All of the remodeling work is expected to be wrapped up by late spring or early summer of next year.

The Goss has also been offered a $250,000 matching grant from an anonymous donor. It’s a dollar for dollar match. Every dollar that is pledged through December 31st will be matched.

Donations can be made via mail to 100 East Kemp Avenue, Watertown, S.D. 57201, or by clicking here: http://thegossoperahouse.com/
