Reckless Driving leads to two vehicle crash in Watertown

WATERTOWN, S.D.–No injuries but heavy damage to two vehicles involved in a crash in Watertown.
It happened at 8th Avenue and Willow Creek Drive Southeast when a Jeep that was northbound on Willow Creek Drive crossed over the median, striking a sign and entered the southbound lanes.
The jeep then crossed back into the northbound lanes colliding with the driver’s side of a car.
The jeep and car then went into the east ditch and rolled before coming to a stop.
The jeep was driven by a 20 year-old Watertown man who was arrested for Reckless Driving.
The car was driven by a 78 year-old Watertown woman.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Their names were not released.
Damage to each vehicle was estimated at $10,000.
