SIOUX CENTER, I.A. (GoWatertown.net) – Trevor Taylor’s three touchdown passes on the afternoon would lead the Watertown Rebels to a 26-8 victory over the Tri-State Buffaloes during the opening weekend of Southern Plains Football League play.

Taylor would go 19 for 35 and rack up 194 yards on the afternoon and hit three different receivers, Bryce Schmidt, Spencer Titus, and Dylan Duvall for scores. Duvall would also return a punt for a 32-yard score. On the ground, DaMarcus Cox carried the ball 11 times for 75 yards.

Dakota King would lead the defense with six tackles, Zach Noffsinger with five, and Zach Strangeland with four.

Watertown (1-0) will come home to face the Dakota Bulldogs Saturday, April 30th.
