Rapid City police investigating apparent murder-suicide of mother and her son (Audio)

RAPID CITY, S.D.–Rapid City police are investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide involving a parent and her child.
Police spokesman Brendyn Medina says the deceased, 26-year old Trisha Paxton-Dennett and her four-year old son Russel Reeves, were discovered by a family member.
Resources have also been made available for responding officers, many of whom Medina said have children themselves.
Medina said in light of the working murder-suicide theory, the investigation has continued moving forward.
