VOLGA, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The New Country KS93 Game of the Week begins this Saturday night as Sioux Valley faces Clark/Willow Lake in doubleheader action.

The Cyclone girls return five this year after finishing last season 6-15. Coach Sam Williams says a strength of this years squad is their ability to shoot the ball:

The Cossack girls finished last season an improved 12-10. Coach Jamie Granum says his team continues that improvement:

The Clark/Willow Lake boys finished 2021 with a 14-8 record and were bounced from the region by Sioux Valley. The Cyclones return three starters and Coach Jerome Nesheim says the bench will play a big part in their success again this year:

After COVID canceled a 21-1 2020 season, a very determined Sioux Valley team finished 23-2 last year and fell in the Class A state championship game to Sioux Falls Christian. The Cossacks return three starters this year and Coach Bill Vincent says they hope to develop depth:
