Post 17 splits with Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Watertown Post 17 would split their games at Harrisburg Tuesday night.

The purple and gold would shutout Harrisburg in game one 11-0. Mason Morris, Dawson Schmidt, Mason Evans, and Peyton Johnston would each contribute RBI’s in a big seven run second inning. Zach Hirsch earned the victory on the hill for Watertown going five innings and allowing three hits and striking out four.

Game two would swing the other direction as Harrisburg would take an 11-1 victory over Watertown. Mason Morris would send in the lone RBI for Watertown. Jerod Cyrus would contribute two hits. On the mound, Kale Stevenson took the loss for Post 17 lasting two innings, allowing four hits and nine runs while striking out two.

Watertown Post 17 (9-7) will head to Fargo this weekend for tournament play.
