Pitching leads Firechiefs to State B Tournament

MITCHELL, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Milbank is back at the Class B Amateur State Tournament.

The Firechiefs come into state as their district runner-up, falling to Lake Norden in the Lakers 8-4 ninth inning come-back win in the championship game July 28th.

Coach Jesse Krause says pitching has been their strength this season:

The Firecheifs will put their 13-6 record on the line against Platte to open the Class B State Tournament today (Wednesday).  Coach Krause tells us about his opponent:

First pitch is 5:30 p.m. at Cadwell Park in Mitchell.  That game will be followed by the Castlewood Monarchs taking on Dimock/Emery at 7:30 p.m.
