Pickup driver sustains minor injuries after rear ending DOT snowplow on Interstate 29

SUMMIT, S.D.–The dangers of following snowplows too closely played out again yesterday (Tuesday) in northeast South Dakota.

Sixty five year-old Terry White of Aberdeen rear-ended a DOT snowplow on Interstate 29, three miles south of Summit.

It happened a little before noon in snowy weather conditions.

White was wearing a seat belt and sustained minor injuries. Charges against him are pending.

The 49 year-old man driving the snowplow was not injured.

White’s pickup sustained heavy front end damage.
