MOBRIDGE, S.D.—A sad day in Mobridge today as that city mourns the loss of a teenage girl and prays for the recovery of another teenager with life-threatening injuries.

It’s the result of a pickup truck crash in the Mobridge city limits last night.

The South Dakota Department of Public Safety says two 16 year-old girls and a 15 year-old boy were in a pickup that went out of control and flipped on 10th Avenue West in Mobridge.

The 16 year-old girl driving was dead at the scene.

The 15 year-old male passenger was taken to the Mobridge hospital and later flown to Fargo where he’s dealing with life-threatening injuries.

The other 16 year-old girl in the pickup had minor injuries.

Both the driver and male passenger were ejected from the pickup. None of them were wearing seat belts.

Names will be released when next of kin have been notified.
