CASTLEWOOD, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Two Castlewood coaches have resigned as part of a sexual harassment settlement.
Hamlin County Publishing reports that head coach Barry Jacobsen and assistant coach Chris Lather have resigned as part of a settlement reached between Castlewood School and a sexual harassment grievance filed on behalf of the parents of a high school student at the school. The pair have admitted responsibility for social media content and inappropriate comments made in the classroom to several students in early September 2020.
Castlewood will be forming a hiring committee to begin the search for their replacement. The first allowable date of practice in South Dakota for boys basketball is November 30th.
