WATERTOWN, S.D.–It was exactly one year ago today that President Biden was sworn into office.

One of his first acts as president was to shut down construction of the Keystone XL oil pipeline, which was going to run through a portion of South Dakota.

In an interview with KWAT News Director Mike Tanner this week, Governor Kristi Noem said she was critical of the decision at the time, and still is today…

Noem says shutting down construction of the pipeline was not only a loss for South Dakota, but also the country as a whole…

The pipeline’s corporate backer–TC Energy–officially abandoned the project in June 2021.
