One dead, eight injured in crash on Interstate 90 in South Dakota’s Jones County

MURDO, S.D.–One person was killed and eight others were injured when a suburban pulling a trailer crashed on Interstate 90, seven miles east of Murdo.
The vehicle was eastbound, pulling a trailer, when it left the highway, went into the ditch and rolled.
All occupants of the suburban were taken to hospitals in Chamberlain and Pierre, and later transferred to Sioux Falls.
One of them, a 33 year-old female passenger, was thrown from the vehicle and later died from her injuries.
The names of those involved have not been released.
