ABERDEEN, S.D.–The National Weather Service released an updated spring flood outlook on Wednesday.

They say snow pack is significant after recent snow events, and that the chances for river and overland flooding have increased.

Major flooding can be expected along the James and Elm Rivers, minor to moderate flooding is expected along the Big Sioux River, and minor flooding can be expected along the Little Minnesota River.

Temperatures are expected to rise to normal or even above normal levels in the next ten days, which will quicken the snow melt.
